Who is responsible

BuzzQuiz is operated by the owner of www.buzzquiz.io, who is the data controller for the limited processing described below. There is no company account system behind the site and no personal profile is ever created for you.

Information we collect

BuzzQuiz lets you take quizzes without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, your email address, or any other contact details, and there is no sign-up anywhere on the site. What we process is limited to aggregate quiz counts, standard hosting logs, and privacy-conscious page analytics.

Data stored on your device

Your answer-by-answer choices and personal quiz history are stored in your own browser using local storage. They are never sent to us and never leave your device. Clearing your browser storage for this site erases all of it permanently. When a quiz is completed, the quiz and result identifiers are processed only for the anonymous counts and analytics described below.

Aggregate quiz counts

When a result is shown, we increment anonymous counters — how many times a quiz has been taken and how many times each result has come up — so we can show how rare a result is and which quizzes are trending. These counters are plain numbers per quiz. They are not linked to you, your device, or your session.

To stop automated abuse of those counters we keep a short-lived request tally, keyed by an irreversible hash of your IP address. The raw IP address is never written to storage and the tally expires within minutes.

Analytics and cookies

We use privacy-conscious analytics and hosting logs to understand page performance, traffic sources, errors, and aggregate usage. Result-page events can include the public quiz identifier, result identifier, and whether the visit came from a shared link, search, or a direct visit. They do not include your answers, name, email, or a personal profile. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies depending on your browser and region.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors to run the site on our behalf:

• Vercel Inc. — hosting, content delivery, request logs, and Vercel Web Analytics.
• Upstash, Inc. — the Redis datastore that holds the aggregate quiz counters and the short-lived rate-limit tallies described above.

We do not sell data and we do not share it with advertisers.

Quiz results

Quiz results are for entertainment and self-reflection. If you share a result link, anyone with that link may be able to view the shared result page. Shared links contain only the quiz and the result, never anything you typed.
